CHURCH OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI - GALLIPOLI (LE)

The Church of St. Francis of Assisi in Gallipoli, Apulia, Italy, of which the oldest part dates back to 1220, is a sample of Apulian Baroque that is well worth more publicity.

In an area of great historical value, remodelling was not limited to renewal and completion works, but was extended to "removable" stone, wooden, stucco, and marble artworks, which were submitted to professional restoration.

In particular, the fine lyre-shaped windows peeping out of the longitudinal façades of the church on which time and the proximity to the sea have caused erosion, were of outstanding artistic and architectural value.

For the renewal of these very special frames, architects have opted for Secco Sistemi's BronzoFinestra system.

BronzoFinestra offers the noble advantages of bronze along with the benefits of state-of-the-art technology.

BronzoFinestra profiles and sheets are made in OT 67 alloy (UNI 4894) containing 67% brass and 33% zinc.

This formula guarantees high structural performances as well as exceptional resistance to corrosive agents, thoroughly eliminating the need for maintenance.
