FORMER CENTRO ANNONARIO - BARI
The restoration project gave life to the State Archive (out of the ashes of the abattoir) and the National Library (in the two buildings of the ex cold store and fish market), with conference rooms, offices, reading rooms, workrooms and areas for the public.
The focal point of the entire restoration is the recovery of the central arcade with the reconstruction of the old roof, a large entrance hall for providing information and moving people around.
The arched windows had a simple design that does not "interfere" with the rich composition of the facade where the broad rectangular glazing of the central block evoke traditional aesthetic solutions with their division into boxes.
The project also envisioned the reconstruction of the exterior frames, using steel profiles, protected using galvanized zinc and coated with ferro-micaceous paint with athermic glass.
The choice was aimed at windows produced with SistemAcciaio from Secco Sistemi also because of the reduced maintenance cycle.
