CASTLE OF MARNE - FILAGO (BG)

The Castle of Marne is located in the small town of Filago (BG) in the Park crossed by the lower course of the river Brembo. It was originally built before year 1000 ad and was a very secure fort, being perched on a rock between two rivers. After having been destroyed and sacked several times, it was brought to its original splendour at the beginning of the 19th century when it became residence to very illustrious families from Lombardia.
It is currently one of the most requested venues for luxurious banquets and entertainment due to its romantic and charming location.
The 19th century wing was heavily damaged by a recent blaze and the Designer has planned to use, for the windows, metallic frames made of painted steel with 20/10 Secco Security System profiles.
Part of the frames of the mullioned windows are characterised by two big shutter openings spaced with a smaller fixed part by the central column. The big windows of the salons provide significant brightness to the interior while ensuring, at the same time, specific safety requirements due to the thickness of their profiles.
