DESALINATION PLANT - ALICANTE II
The big desalination plant in Canaes del Taibilla is one of many made in Spain to fulfil the water needs of the country.
It is also the twin of another plant near Alicante in Murcia. It affects 34 counties and produces 300,000 cubic metres of fresh water with the process of reverse osmosis.
Particular care was paid to soften the environmental impact. This was made possible by closing the technical shell of the plant with almost 1100 square metres of cor-ten covering type “Infinities HT”, formed by panels 330 mm high, 46 mm thick, with cor-ten metal plate on the outside and galvanised steel on the inside. The frames are SistemAcciaio and made of the same material.
