CABLE CAR SYSTEM DAOLASA - VAL MASTELLINA (TN)

The cable car system, connecting the three terminals - valley (814 m), intermediate (1376 m) and mountain (2043 m) - was opened in Val di Sole (TN) in 2008.

This is the first multimodal system, “tyre+rail+cable”, built in Italy. The trains, in fact, arrive straight into the lower station thus dramatically lowering the need of road transportation and therefore with a positive environmental impact.

The three stations are characterised by ample and luminous curtain walls, partly arched and partly straight with mullions and transoms, and by internal and external partitioned windows made of galvanised steel.

It was decided to leave the steel without a paint finishing for a low visual impact and in keeping with the “nudity” of the machinery.
